Welcome to the Blogs section of the BIG in America  website.  Any registered user on the site can create personal blog entries which are displayed in this section for public information, education, amusement and entertainment.  If you are a member of one or more groups on BIGinAmerica.net you can also publish blog entries just for viewing by other subscribers to those groups.  Just look for the Audience section on the create / edit page and check the appropriate boxes.

As you are discovering, our website has lots of community-building features that you can explore - blogs, groups, buddy-lists, events, invites, rsvps and more.  This is all based on freely available 'open source'  software, which costs nothing but time to set up and use.  We hope that you will find the thought and effort that has gone into this website useful.Please do become an active member of the community and contribute content to the site.  We are especially keen for registered users to contribute to the events database, not just for New England but across the USA.  Events can be searched by ZIP code radius, city or metro area.

Look out for the link on our homepage for the "BIG Points" introductory program: contributing content and inviting friends can earn points that give cash discounts on products on this site (ie tickets for our events).If you have any questions about the site, BIG in America or the meaning of life then feel free to send me a message (I can only promise sensible replies on the first two of these topics, however!)
